Dealing with your depression and anxiety in the business world

It is not easy to deal with depression and anxiety in the business world. Getting help from a professional should be the first thing you do if you deal with depression. Many companies nowadays have different programs for their employees. Talk to your Human Resources Representative on a confidential basis and ask if your employer has any such programs. If your place of work doesn’t have any programs then ask your doctor or local mental health clinic. Help is available if you look hard enough. With the help of a professional, evaluate the source of your depression. Knowing what is causing your depression can go a long way. Once you know why you are feeling depressed, then it is easier to find the ways to overcome it. A good way to manage your depression is to learn how to deal with your negative thinking. If you get thoughts that make your fearful or anxious, challenge those thoughts with positive statements. Try to minimize the fear behind the thought by thinking of something positive or constructive. When we worry or get depressed, we tend to worry on exaggerated assumptions. Sometimes our exaggerated ideas can make us worry even more. Remember to get all of the facts of your current circumstances. Getting the facts can make us aware of what is reality and what is not. Before you worry about something, get the necessary information on your situation. Don’t assume anything. Take things one at a time. Do not look too far ahead. Next week or next month will take care of itself. Your not alone in dealing with depression and anxiety. If you have such a problem, you can take steps to solve your current problem. They key is to get help from a counselor and to be persistent in finding the ways that will get rid of your anxiety and depression. Remember that there is hope. Eventually you or the person who is struggling will eventually get better.

Tips on decorating your house to sell

When potential buyers step into your house, they want to see a clean, neat and attractively decorated house. What they DON’'T want to see is something so overly decorated they can’t imagine their own furniture and possessions in the house. Plus, too many shelves and tables with knickknacks, too many overstuffed sofas piled with pillows can hide the architectural and structural features of a home. Here are a few tips on keeping a minimalist approach to your home decorating. · MINIMIZE. Put away EVERYTHING that isn’t absolutely essential. Even if you have get down on your knees and beg your neighbor for some storage space in their garage, (or rent a storage locker), do it. Remember, it isn’t forever, and you might find you can live without some of that stuff. · ORGANIZE. This is a good time to tackle that filing you’ve been putting off, and organizing your craft materials and other projects. Once again, get rid of anything you can live without temporarily. Better yet, start packing! And by the way, it’s easy these days to find attractive, inexpensive baskets in stores from WalMart to PierOne. Use those baskets to help keep you organized. A large basket can be used to stash magazines and coasters under the coffee table. Baskets can also be put to good use in bathrooms – put away all your personal items like make-up, toothpaste, shaving cream, etc. People can get distracted looking at the brand names of products you use; plus, having all that stuff around makes the house look used. · ARRANGE. The things you DO keep around can be rearranged in attractive ways to make your house look interesting. In the kitchen, for example, group canisters together. Spreading them out makes counter space look smaller. The same goes for ledges, end tables, bookcase, and fireplace mantels. Group no more than 3 things together, making sure they’re varying heights, and mix graduate sizes. For example, group 2 candles on one side of the mantel, and something smaller on the other side. One thing to remember while decorating to sell is that potential buyers frequently spend more time looking at family photograph and items of a personal nature. That embroidered family tree your aunt made might well spark a long conversation that does nothing to sell your house. So temporarily put away those photos and other personal items. The key is to make the house look attractive, minimally decorated, and devoid of personal artifacts which distract the potential buyer and possibly prevents her from envisioning her OWN family and stuff in the house.

Secured loans what are the benefits

: There are a number of benefits to taking out secured loans as opposed to unsecured loans. First of all, if you are a home owner and have the ability to offer security to a bank or other lender, then you will have a much better chance of getting credit. Lenders are always very worried about risk, and the biggest risk from their point of view, is that you will be unable to pay back the loan. Therefore, if you have provided them with some form of security, then they will be far more willing to lend to you. Your Credit History This is true even if you do not have a perfect credit history. The fact of the matter is that lenders will be willing to overlook your poor credit history simply because you have the ability to provide them with security against the loan. More Available Capital Another advantage of secured loans is that you will typically be able to borrow far more than on a secured basis. Most people will have a couple of thousand pounds in unsecured debt, usually from bank overdrafts, credit cards and perhaps student debt. Other than this, if you need to borrow larger sums, you will pretty much require security. And the value of the property that you have to secure loans against will set the limit to how much you can borrow. Less Risk Involved Because a secured loan carries far less risk for the lender, they will be willing to offer you far more attractive terms and conditions regarding the loan. So even though you are borrowing far more money, and require a much longer time for paying it back, you will have lower interest rates, less severe penalty charges and generally speaking, a more generous loan agreement. Conditions of a Secured Loan There are conditions attached to secured loans however. First of all, you must be a home owner in order to qualify. If you do not own your own home, you will not be able to offer the bank security and will not qualify for these loans. There is also the fact, that should always be borne in mind, that securing a loan over your home places your home at risk. If for some reason you become unable to keep up with repayments, then the lender will have a right to take possession of your home and sell it in order to recover the amount borrowed. Therefore, you should consider carefully if you can afford a loan before taking it out.

Tips for awesome looking pet portraits

We love our pets. They do such cute, adorable, and funny things. They are more often than not, an integral part of our family. As such, you probably want to capture your beloved friend with great pet pictures. What if, when you go to take those perfect pet portraits, they run and hide, or simply won't cooperate? In this article we give some great tips to help you next time you go for that dog photo or pet picture of your best friend. Here are some tips to help you to get some great pet pictures. 1. The first and most important step that will help the most is training. Your pet does not need to enroll for a 4-year pet school degree with an online dog picture heralding his success, but some simple commands will help. Simple commands like stand, stay, lay down or sit are easy to teach, with some patience added, and will help in taking your pet pictures. 2. Awaking a pet out of a deep sleep and forcing him to face a camera will not give you good results. If you wish to take pictures of your pet, try to take photos while they are playing or relaxing by that nicely lit window. It's a good idea to have your camera nearby at all times, not just one moment when you decide now is the time to have pet portraits. Take some time with it. 3. Using natural lighting is best. If enough, do not use your flash. Pets often times do not like the flash of a camera; they can learn to squint or run away when they see that camera come out. 4. If your pet is already camera-shy, try being as discreet as possible by not making it so obvious to your pet that you are up to something. Of course, with a cat this can be easier considering the attention span of a cat, but then again, they can be more wise to your ways, knowing that you are indeed up to something...it all depends on the personality of the pet. You can get a great, expressional dog photo just by saying the right word, in the right tone of voice, to a dog, but nice try with a cat. Go for a nice, sophisticated shot of your cat if he's a snob. (Remember, you want to capture the essence of your pet in the best 'light' possible. If your cat does not fit that stereotype, a relaxed, playful or 'thoughtful' look is great. That's applies not just to cats, but dogs and whatnot too...well, maybe not if your pet is...oh, a snake perhaps. 5. If you are looking for that thoughtful or playful look, look to a friend or family member to help. A string with catnip or honeysuckle works great for a cat, squeaky toys work well with dogs. 6. Stay patient. If you are getting frustrated, time to take a break. It should be a fun, enjoyable time. You want to remember your pet...not the day you worked up a sweat, dusted the floor with your clothes, banged your knee, and yelled at your kids or whatever else trying to get that perfect dog photo. Plus, your pets can pick up on your stress and they may start to associate that camera, or how YOU behave with that camera with a bad time...like teenagers during family portrait time...NOT fun usually. 7. Take your pets coloring into consideration when choosing backgrounds. The less 'busy' the scene, the better, as well. Remember; do not put pressure on your pet to face the camera. If you do want a shot looking directly into the camera, best way to achieve this is by first getting the camera and crop prepared. Once ready to 'snap', a louder, unusual sound just before shooting, works best for dogs. A soft, quiet sound, works best for cats to get their attention. Be prepared to take a lot of bad photos to get a really good one. It will be better if you use a digital camera. With a digital camera you have lots of room for trial and error. You will be able to select your favorites and dispose the rest. Of course, that can be a problem too. If you are anything like me, you hate to erase any photos of your pet. Most of all see it as fun, not a chore and before you know it you'll have awesome looking perfect pet portraits of your pet and maybe other pets too!

Adding style to your room with a decorative chess set

When you think of a chess set, chances are you think of an old wooden board with plain pieces that those strange guys in college played with into the wee hours of the morning. And while there can be no argument that chess is certainly a great way to pass the time, there is a use for chess that you may not have thought of - decorating. But why would you want to decorate a room with a game? Well, chances are you won’t be basing the entire room design around the set, but you should consider adding a decorative set to accent your current design. It’s time to let go of the notion of chess being simply a game, and start thinking of it as a decorating tool. Of course, you can’t really justify decorating with an old musty board and cheap wooden pieces, can you? This is where you need to start thinking of a chess set as dйcor and not a hobby - a nice chess board and pieces (and possibly table) are going to run you a good bit of cash, and thinking of it as a hobby or game is going to make it that much more difficult to buy. But, if you start to consider it as an ornamental piece, then it becomes much more justifiable. After all, how much will you spend on a custom framed picture, or an ornate coffee table? They both qualify as decorations, but consider that nearly everyone has these - how many times have you seen an intricately carved chess set in someone’s house? The benefits of having a chess set as a decoration are numerous. It can instantly add a touch of class and sophistication to your room. Most people think of intelligence and refinement when they think of a nice looking marble chess set. It also provides a great conversation starter, since most people won’t be used to seeing a hand crafted chess table with carved pieces. And finally, consider passing on an antique chess set as an heirloom to your children - a well made set will last many, many years. So the next time you redo a room, consider adding a decorative chess set and table as one of your pieces. You’ll add an instant conversation piece, and your room will look more refined and classy no matter what your decorating scheme.

4 Ways to accept credit cards directly to your paypal account

Accepting payments through credit cards online is a huge plus factor for any online merchant. Customers and potential clients, first and foremost, look for convenience and credibility when browsing websites they want to buy products or get services from. To gauge these factors, potential clients and customers look at one of the most basic components any reliable online merchant should have – an efficient and secure payment system. When people talk of payment systems, nothing is more reliable than a PayPal account. Online merchants like you can benefit from setting up a PayPal account in order to accept credit card payments directly online. Below are the steps in setting up and accepting credit cards directly to your PayPal account: 1. Sign up with PayPal. Register for a PayPal Business Account to get started. Signing up is easy as PayPal will walk you through the registration process. 2. Verify sign up information details to activate your account. You will need to verify your information by clicking the link sent to the email address you provided during registration. This is done to ensure the website’s security. 3. Opt for the Website Payments Standard option. This is the basic option for most online merchants. You can look up information on the other payment options to see which best suits your website’s needs. 4. Choose your shopping carts and buttons. PayPal offers custom-designed shopping carts that are free and a variety of HTML buttons you can put on your website to facilitate the payment process. PayPal accounts work this way: Customers browse your site and look for products they want to purchase. Saving on money when shopping for groceries

Food is very important for our nourishment. As I was growing up my mom used to tell me that it is always okay to splurge your money as long as it was on food. Now, I have come to realized that it is still quite important to get value for your money when it comes to purchasing groceries. You could always justify to yourself that despite some grocery items being a little expensive, you will be eating it for your body. But then, it is important that we always have some extra money saved up for a rainy day. I will be providing here some tips on how you can save on your groceries. Coupons that can be found in newspapers and magazines can help you save on money. Cut out coupons of the products that you frequently buy. You could also use the coupons of an alternative brand that could save you precious dollars as well. However using a coupon for a product that you don’t at all purchase but are just buying for the sake of the coupon is costing you money and not helping you save. For those of you who don’t like searching through coupons, you could also save money by buying during sales. Quite often, grocery stores would have some items on special sale that may be sold up to even 90% off. You could save by stocking up on these items (that is if it is part of your staple). It is very important though to stock up on those items that don’t easily perish or which you think you could consume within the time frame that you will be stocking it up avoiding expiry. You could also opt for a cheaper alternative by trying on the store’s very own brands. Usually these items are as good as the well-known brand names. You could try it our first and if your family is okay with it then you can start using this brand instead. A very important thing also and one that I believe is actually true is not to shop on an empty stomach. Funny as it may seem, when you shop while your hungry you tend to buy more grocery items than when you do grocery after you have just eaten. I am not pretty sure if this is psychological or what but many people holds true to this belief. I guess when you are hungry you would have the tendency to buy more. One last important note is to buy only the items which you have listed or which you need. When you go around the grocery racks scoping out other items chances are you will be spending more than what you were actually intending to buy.

9 Reasons to do joint venture deals on ebay

eBay is THE most popular home business in the USA, but it's not without its problems. Many have tried to succeed but have failed due to confusion over what products to sell, giant numbers of competitors, copy and picture theft from other sellers and eBay and Paypal that eat into profits. One way to avoid this swamp, though, is to do a Joint Venture with established eBay sellers. This allows a JV partner to build her own mailing list and sell products off eBay. There are multiple advantages to this way of doing business on eBay: 1. The biggest uncertainty for would-be eBay sellers is what products to sell. Sometimes vendors risk large sums of money on untried products, only to lose their investment, become sour and give up. With a Joint Venture there is no risk except for a few hours of time. 2. Since there are no auctions listed on eBay, no one can steal copy or pictures from JV sellers - because there is nothing to copy. In effect, we become invisible - no one even knows we exist and this hidden aspect has many advantages. 3. eBay JVs are usually done with a digital product that can be instantly downloaded. This is great for any entrepreneur because inexpensive autoresponders mean that her entire business is handled via autopilot. Contrast this with the usual way of doing business on eBay which involves mailing dozens, hundreds or even thousands of boxes. 4. eBay and Paypal have lots of rules. It's easy to break some unwittingly, and even the most honest seller does so from time to time. A JV merchant isn't answerable to eBay, however, but only to her customers. 5. A JV seller never directly lists on eBay, thus avoiding eBay and Paypal fees. 6. Successful Powersellers have large numbers of customers and there are lots of administrative details involved. Implementing a sales system can cost time and money because without attention to detail packages won't be mailed in a timely fashion, payments won't be accurate, items will be sent to the wrong buyers, and so on. A JV partner eliminates all of that because all transactions can be funneled through a hands-off system. 7. eBay selling lives or dies through the 'feedback' system. Negative feedback can kill sales instantly and lack of feedback causes buyers to hesitite and choose other sellers. Feedback is totally irrelevant to a Joint Venture seller because she is using the reputation of carefully chosen other sellers. She knows in advance that their feedback is high quality or she doesn't do deals with them. 8. Inexperienced sellers sometimes drag wiser merchants into price wars. In a panic over sales, they foolishly slash prices, beginning a chain reaction that results in bare bones bids that allow no one to make any money. A Joint Venture seller floats serenely above such hiccups in the marketplace. 9. Best of all, a JV seller doesn't settle for a one time sale. She concentrates her efforts on a mailing list of happy customers that she can sell to again and again and again. In this way, not only is she ensuring repeate profits, but she gets paid for creating this list, rather than having to pay someone else for names. With its 147,000,000 registered users, eBay is the best source of targeted, Net-savvy buyers on the web. By putting together Joint Venture deals with established sellers, anyone can add large numbers of qualified buyers to their database efficiently and inexpensively.

Sc sports car care tips

Taking Good Care of One's Sports Car Sports cars which range in price from $15,000 to $100,000 or higher and are cars that people do not buy every day. Since these vehicles can be purchased locally or imported, and cost a lot of money, you should take care to insure that you will enjoy this piece of machinery for a long time. • Before taking the sports car for a drive, it is always best to check the brakes, the oil and the tires. If any of these are inadequate, you should correct the problem to prevent an accident that might occur before you arrive at your destination. • There are two things that make a sports car run. One is gas and the other is electricity from the battery. By checking the battery either at home or at a station while fueling up, you can be sure that the car won’t suddenly die when you are driving down the road. • To keep the paint of the car free from damage caused by weather conditions, it is best to keep the vehicle inside a garage when it is not in use. If you do not have any choice, but to park the vehicle outdoors, it is best to park in a covered area away from trees that may cause scratches should branches fall on the car. • Some of the smallest things that are wrong with the vehicle must be addressed immediately to prevent the situation from getting worse. If the driver hears a sound or noise that was not there before, it is best to take the car to a repair shop just to check and make sure there is not anything wrong. • Another thing you must do when driving the vehicle is check the gauges on the dashboard regularly. Should one of these sensors suddenly light up, you should stop the vehicle and try to determine the problem. If are not sure, call a mechanic or go there and have the problem fixed. • Simple things in the car need to be replaced every few thousand miles; such as the oil, the filters and the tires etc. This will keep the car in tip top condition if you decide to go on trip or in case of an emergency. It doesn’t take that much time or effort to make sure that the car is in good condition. All it takes is proper maintenance and listening to the engine when the car is started and when on the road. Most dealers have a routine maintenance check every 3,000 – 5,000 miles so you should avail yourself of it to make sure that you are safe when on the road.

Should you really buy a used car

Buying a vehicle can be quite an ordeal. You have to find the money in your budget for the new vehicle. Often you have to decide whether you want to sell your existing vehicle outright or trade it in. Then that decision is based on if you buy through a dealer or private party. You have to decide what you like. Should you buy new or used? Financial advisors say that the best way to get your money's worth is to go used. However, the decision isn't quite so simple. There are a lot of considerations. Start by looking at your finances. If your only option is buying used, then do it wisely. But if you are choosing a used over a new, you have to remember that there will be no warranty of the vehicle in most cases. If the car needs a lot of maintenance, repairs or other modifications, you could find that your savings by purchasing used aren't there. Buying a used car is a gamble sometimes. You have to make sure that the title is clean. There should be proper documentation with the vehicle. Don't trust anyone who says they will mail it to you. Never pay for a vehicle without a title, you could be in deep trouble later. If you test drive the car and aren't sold on it, you should keep looking. If you aren't comfortable with the car, used or new, after driving it, it wouldn't be a good deal for you. Don't just buy the only car in your price range. Keep looking for one that will fit your budget and your needs. When you buy used, you should take the car to a mechanic and have it checked out. This doesn't guarantee that there won't be any problems, it just helps you from buying a junk car. You might also consider doing a online check on the vehicle. You simply need the VIN and around $10. You should get a history of the vehicle. For example, we checked a vehicle out and found out that it was in the gulf when the hurricanes hit. It didn't say it was damaged, but warned of the potential. Even if you aren't choosing to buy used -- you have to -- you should take the time to consider the purchase just as you would a new car purchase. Test drive several vehicles and shop around. Buy car trader and truck trader magazines and search online to see what other vehicles are bringing. If you are looking at purchasing a car from a dealer that is $5,000 cheaper than you have ever seen one priced for, you should probably be a little curious as to why it is so cheap. Make sure you know what the blue book value is and understand the process of buying. When you buy a vehicle, you are spending money that you probably will never get back in your pocket. Do it wisely.

Bingo bonus offers

Online bingo bonus offers, hands-down, are the widest used and most popular incentive being offered to Internet bingo players. The bonuses are designed to attract new bingo sign-ups and to encourage real money players to continue making subsequent deposits. Clearly, the growing popularity in online bingo proves bonus offers are doing precisely the goal wished-for! Bingo Bonuses generally fall into three categories: (1)New Player/New Sign-up Bingo Deposit Bonuses (2)2nd Deposit/Reload(or Retention) Bingo Deposit Bonuses, and (3)No Deposit or Free Bingo Bonuses There may be different options available to choose from within the three categories, these of course, being subject to the bingo websites specific bonus offer. (1) New Player/New Sign-up Bingo Deposit Bonuses The sign-up deposit bonus is a popular offer with bingo players. If used correctly players can sometimes triple their money when using this bonus! The bingo websites will match the amount of money (by a set percentage amount; on average 50%-300%) deposited by a new player. For example, if you deposit $50.00 and receive a 100% match bonus, you will have a total of $100.00 to play with ($50.00 from your own deposit and the $50.00 given as a deposit match bonus). Some sites pay deposit bonuses in real money, others in bonus money. (2) 2nd Deposit/Reload(or Retention) Bingo Deposit Bonuses Many websites offer bonuses for players making subsequent deposits. These bonuses, similar to the sign-up bonus vary and range from 50% to 300%. Deposit bonuses are not only to encourage players to continue depositing, but also to give them something extra for their loyalty. Research and careful consideration to all current bonuses offered is highly suggested. Even a relatively small deposit, can give a player quite a bit of funds to play bingo with, when matched by a good bonus! There are also bingo sites that will increase the match deposit bonus given by preset increments for each additional or larger deposit sum made. These types of bingo bonuses or loyalty rewards are given to thank the bingo player for their business. Additionally, there are even bingo sites that offer not only the deposit match, but will also reward their players with a monthly bonus to keep them as returning real money players. (3) No Deposit or Free Bingo Bonuses This bonus offered to new sign-ups, whom after registering with an online bingo site; receive a free cash bonus to play bingo at their site. The player has the opportunity to play bingo for free and to win real cash. Most online bingo sites offering the No Deposit Bonus give new players between $5.00 and $30.00. Another free bonus offer from bingo sites is free bingo cards, usually five to twenty cards that players can use to play a free bingo game. The rules for cashing out on a free bonus, participating in chat room games for BB’s (bonus bucks) or having access to all bingo rooms and games are always more restrictive than any placed on players making deposit bonuses. The rules vary from site to site and the player needs to understand them prior to playing at the website. There is also an in-house bonus that players can earn while playing in an online bingo room. These bingo bonuses are awarded to players participating in online chat games. Most bingo sites offer a variety of fun chat games where players can earn bingo bucks or BBs to buy additional bingo cards for a chance at winning a bingo pot. Chat games draw many players to bingo sites because they are enjoyable and are a very easy way to win BBs. Overall, it seems the current trend for online bingo bonuses has shown a decline in free/no deposit bonuses. In contrast, more emphasis has been placed on the deposit bonuses. The popularity of online bingo playing and the increased numbers of real money players is most likely the reason why. An online search of popular bingo site bonuses show much of the spotlight is on the deposit bonus type. It is becoming more difficult to locate any free bingo bonus offers above the amount of $10.00. Many of the current $30.00 free bonus offers by Internet bingo sites specify for play in free rooms only and all bingo wins considered “just play” thus no win is eligible for cash out. Although the “free bonus seeker” will find slim pickings, this is good news for the depositing and serious player. Those seeking the most lucrative offer possible before deciding to make a cash deposit to play bingo will find a large variety of deposit bonuses with bingo sites vying for your business with an array of special offers and unique bingo bonuses for players to choose from.

Tips on buying your first set of golf clubs

Before buying your very first set of golf clubs, keep these important ideas and tips in mind. First, try to understand how often you will be playing the game. If your only intention is to play a couple of times a year in the company scramble or better ball, then it is probably best to stick with a cheaper set of golf clubs, rather than spending a ton of cash on a brand new set of clubs. But if you've tried the game and enjoy it and feel that you want to take it up more often you should do a little research and determine which golf clubs are best for you. Your level of interest, dedication, time and of course cash flow are important factors in how many times you'll be getting out on the golf course. If you're not sure what these levels are, then you should probably look for a cheaper set of clubs or even some second-hand clubs. They will work out the best for a new player who is testing out their enjoyment in the world of golf. If your interest continues to grow, you can always buy a new set of clubs down the road and by then you would probably have a better understanding of your game and commitment. If at first you are not sure what type of clubs you should buy, then you can ask and see what other people or friends who have some understanding of the game think will suit you best. Try asking the friends who like to play golf and who have probably been with you on your first or second outing. They would be able to point you in the right direction, especially if they've seen you play. Or ask at your local pro shop and see what they would recommend for you. Asking people who play the game is the best way to get ideas for which set of golf clubs could be the best fit for you. Once you narrow down the search you can always test drive the golf clubs at your local dealer to get a feel for what you're buying and to see if they are the best possible clubs for your swing and the level of player you are. Two tips I feel are important for anyone looking to buy a beginner set of golf clubs is; look for perimeter weighted golf clubs instead of forged blades this will help with forgiveness on off center shots and help you enjoy the game. Also try and pick up graphite shafts instead of steel shafts, this will limit the amount of feedback or vibrations on shots you miss hit and also help you enjoy the game more. Once you have your swing and are comfortable enough to know what you want and see an improvement in your game, then see about some higher end clubs. After you make your decision, check out a few discount dealers, pro shops or even some local garage sales. You can get a decent set of new starter golf clubs for $200 or $300 from a discount golf shop or maybe a better set of clubs for a lot less from someone's garage. Heck they might even throw in a golf bag and some golfing accessories you'll probably need. Finally and most importantly, enjoy the game and the score will come!

Are you risking the relationship for the sale and then losing the sale anyway

: Losing a sale can be disheartening, especially if you lose it for reasons you aren't even aware of. Traditional selling approaches tell us that sales are usually lost because of some element -- price, features, benefits -- having to do with our product or service. So, when we sell, we naturally focus on what we're selling because we feel we have to differentiate our product or service so prospects understand what we're offering that's unique. But...what if focusing all your energy on WHAT you're selling is actually the main reason WHY you're losing sales? "Not possible!" you say. No? Let's hear, in my client Ryan's own words, what happened to him. His story will help you realize why you may be losing sales without really understanding why. Ryan's story points to a very important lesson: if you don't have an approach that is a perfect balance of nonaggression and effective penetration of your prospect's core needs, you'll end up asking yourself time after time, "Why am I losing sales, and why has selling become so painful?" You can risk the relationship and lose the sale, but with a different sales mindset, you don't risk anything at all -- because you can preserve the relationship, and make the sale.

Common types of financial aid

Common Types of Financial Aid If you are planning to attend college or the parent of a child you hope will attend college, I'm sure you are concerned over how you are going to be able to afford the process. A college education in many cases is a significant investment. The good news is that there are many options for the average family when it comes to paying the high costs involved in higher education. Types of Financial Assistance for Educational Expenses Scholarships. You will find that scholarships come in many different shapes and sizes and have all kinds of strange requirements in order to qualify to receive them. Some are based on need while others are based on merit. You will also find that there are many community and faith based organizations that offer scholarships in addition to certain corporations that offer scholarships in a gesture of good will to employees and the children of their employees. These are an excellent source of educational funding, as they do not need to be repaid. Federal Pell Grants. This is another financial aid source that doesn't require repayment. However, you must qualify based on need in order to receive this particular type of college assistance. You can only obtain a Pell grant if you are an undergraduate college student who has not yet earned a college degree. There is a formula that is used to determine the amount of award for which you are eligible. This depends greatly on your means as a family and how much you can realistically expect to contribute towards the cost of your education. Loans. This should be used as a last resort when it comes to paying your college expenses, as this is money that must be repaid with interest. There are several types of loans that are available and you should consider carefully and weigh your options before taking out a loan. However, if this is the only method you have for covering the cost of your tuition it will be money well spent once you've managed to repay the debt. 1) Student loans. There are three different types of student loans: subsidized, unsubsidized, and Perkins loans. You must qualify in order to receive an unsubsidized loan, which will put off your interest accumulation until after graduation or you cease to be enrolled the minimum number of hours. You do not however, need to qualify in order to receive an unsubsidized student loan, which will begin accruing interest immediately. If you happen to be in exceptional financial need you can apply through your university for a Perkins loans. These are low interest loans that must be repaid to the university. 2) Parent Loans. These are commonly referred to as PLUS loans (parent loan for undergraduate students). These loans allow parents to borrow the money required to cover the costs of education that are not covered by other means of financial assistance. Repayment on these loans begins 60 days after the funds are transferred and can take up to 10 years. 3) Private loans. These loans are not guaranteed and are solely credit-based loans. They do not however, have the same limited scope that government loans have and in many cases can help bridge the gaps in actual educational expenses and the amount of money that you are allowed to borrow through traditional financial aid opportunities. Before signing up for any particular sort of financial aid it is a good idea to see a financial aid counselor at the university you are planning to attend. They will have the best information about what steps you need to take in order to apply for financial aid at that specific universities and unique scholarship or grant opportunities that might be available to you through your state or the college. Higher education is a dream that is definitely worth having. Do not allow financial limitations to keep you from your goal if possible but enter into all financial arrangements with great caution and thought. 666

Customize your classic car paint your own rims

Paint your own Rims? Who would have thought something previously done by professionals could be done in your own home. While, the concept of painting your own rims has been around a few years now, many questions pop up of how to do it and I thought I would share my own experiences with painting my Integra stock rims. I have read up many examples of how to do this, but my first time trying was this year when I chose to refinish my winter rims. I was quite please with the outcome. First, what the hell do you need to paint your rims? Paint of course :) This is where Duplicolor comes in with their wheel paint. They offer paint colors to match your style coming in white, gunmetal, classic silver and bronze as well. I chose to do mine in gunmetal leaving my lip the stock polished style look. So here are your options: So you chose your color, bought your paint and are semi-ready. First, you need to sand down your rims. Why? This gives the surface a rough texture so the paint has something to adhere to. Reference the article to polish your rims on how sanding of the rims works. The only difference with this is how far you want to go. In my case, being winter rims painted I chose not to go through the process of stripping the paint on the rims completely. I simply sanded down the surface with 300 grit sandpaper ensuring to make everything sanded equally. This gives the rough surface required for the paint to adhere, and as long as your rims had no damage it should be good enough. Your rims are sanded; you have your paint and now are ready. First, make sure you clean all sanding dust off the rims and ensure a totally clean surface so the paint will stick and not flake off after your first drive out with your newly painted rims!!! Here are my rims washed and ready to completely dry before painting: My rims are masked off with newspaper and masking tape. Of course you want to do this so you don’t turn your tires into the color you are painting. I don't want gunmetal painted tires. Also if you look close enough, you will know that the lip has been masked off as well. So I carefully applied the masking tape on the lip to protect it from being painted as well. Also, you know the little thing you pump your air into, mask that off as well unless you want that to have a color change as well :) The rims are dry, you have masked off what you don’t want painted and now you are ready. Put some newspaper on the ground and place the rim on top of the newspaper. You don't want to paint the concrete underneath the rim so keep it clean with the newspaper. Now apply your first coat of paint. Let the paint dry well and next day admire your handiwork and results.

Patents american greatness

We all know what a patent is in general, but how much do you really know about patents and how they have shaped America? Our advances in technology here in America have surpassed that of all other countries combined. Many do not like to hear that, but it is a fact, and it has more to do with how America moved ahead of other countries economically than any other factor and still does today. In this article, I will cover many of the advances made by American Inventors throughout our relatively short history compared to other countries. Not all inventions that helped make America great were originated in America, but even those that were not invented and patented here, were put to better use here, like a way to produce steel in large quantities for instance. Originally patented by a British inventor named Henry Bessemer. He invented the Bessemer Converter or the Bessemer Process. He obtained his patent in 1855, even though the process was known in China in the third century. According to wikipedia, ” The key principle is removal of impurities from the iron by oxidation through air being blown through the molten iron. The oxidation also raises the temperature of the iron mass and keeps it molten.” However, ingenious Americans like Andrew Carnegie put it to use and built everything from tin cans to skyscrapers to railroads and ships. Many American inventions were patented because of the ability to process steel faster. Many people credit Benjamin Franklin for the discovery of electricity. While that is true, electrification is not quite the same thing. People like Thomas Edison had introduced direct-current systems, what we know as DC. Nikola Tesla worked toward using AC, or alternating current. Tesla was Slavic, but a citizen of the US when he did all of his important work on electricity. At the turn of the century, Tesla was already working in fields like robotics and ballistics. George Westinghouse was a friend of Tesla’s and a major competitor to Thomas Edison. George Westinghouse put electricity to use in more practical ways than the inventors. Westinghouse also invented things and held many patents of his own. People associate him with appliances, but he held patents that had to do with railroads as well. He held a patent on a system to put railroad cars back on the tracks after they had been derailed. He even held the patent for inventing the first air-brakes. Electricity and Steel Processing are just two of the great scientific discoveries that made this country great. I only bring those scientific discoveries into this article to show you something about patents. Many people know about the significant scientific discoveries like nuclear power, the automobile, the airplane, electronics, radio and television, agriculture, computers, the telephone, air conditioning, refrigeration, spacecraft, the Internet, and so much more, most of which was either invented in America or put to the best use here in America. But those significant scientific discoveries make up only a small percentage of all the patents that are applied for and granted. Most patents stem from one or more of the great scientific discoveries, but the patents are granted for the unique use of or combinations of the great discoveries. The genius and inventiveness of the American citizen over all others can be attributed to the fact we are a free society. Free speech also means freedom of thought. Freedom of though leads to great knowledge and discovery. While some inventions or great scientific discoveries can be attributed to people of foreign countries, nowhere are those discoveries and inventions put to better use throughout history than in the United States. For each major scientific discovery, thousands of patents are filed that put it into practical use. Today, patents are still applied for at an extremely fast rate. America has not stopped inventing and patenting their ideas. As long as the American culture continues to foster this innovation, America will stay far ahead in all technological fields, while countries that suppress the freedoms of their citizens will lag far behind. I hope this article, while we only touched on a few inventions and discoveries, gives you some insight into why America stays far ahead of the rest of the world through technology. Search through the US Patent Office Website and you will discover just how many inventions are patented every day.

Stress relieving getting to the root of your stress

Stress is an everyday problem that can be extremely taxing to people. Whether it comes as the result of a devastating event or just the constant things that make life difficult, stress is just as bad. Many people just pass stress off as a temporary thing that will go away with time. The problem with that is that they are neglecting the effect that stress can have on the human body when endured over long periods of time. Stress has been linked to a whole host of physical ailments, including many different types of cancer. Contrary to the popular saying, stress won’t just make you lose your hair. It could cause you to lose your life. Stress is generally built up over time. It doesn’t discriminate, either. Stress problems can afflict students as they prepare for exams or complete work. Stress can bother people who are having financial problems or legal problems. Stress can even afflict those who are extremely wealthy. Problems with a business plan or even an issue at home can cause stress in large quantities. Because stress is such a mental ailment, the treatments for stress must be mostly mental, as well. You can go into the store and purchase aspirin to help with headaches that are caused by stress, but you can’t grab a quick fix for the problem off of any shelves. You must attack the problem at its roots in order to relieve it. One great way to fight stress is through hypnosis. As a hypnotherapist, I have seen many clients who want to find a way out from under the burden of stress. I also use hypnosis to help clients with smoking issues, gambling issues, and a number of other problems, but a great number of my clients suffer from extreme stress. Hypnosis is not just that thing that you see on television or in the movies. It offers a real solution to people who often feel that all hope is lost in their situation. If you are under the constant cloud of stress that won’t allow you to live a fulfilled life, then maybe you want to consider hypnosis as a form of treatment. It will get to the root of the problems that are causing your stress and will change your outlook from there. Get as much information on hypnosis as you possibly can and make a big change in your life today.

How to save money and get discount long term care insurance in arizona

Although Arizona residents are taking better care of themselves by eating better and exercising more, they still have to think about preparing for their senior years. Most people do not entertain the thought of requiring long-term medical care until there is an imminent need. At that point, decisions are more difficult to make because time is of the essence and emotions may cloud an otherwise business decision. Just like making preparations for a will, long-term care is better to have and not need than to need and not be prepared. Let’s face it; everyone is just one unforeseen accident away from potentially needing long term care. Long-term care may last anywhere from a few months to several years. The costs associated with the care usually are more than what the average Arizona resident can handle out of pocket. Therefore, it is necessary to look for alternatives. If you have sizeable assets, it would make sense to protect them from being squandered away paying for long term care. If you don’t have sizeable assets, more than likely you are unable to afford to pay out of pocket for such care thus making it necessary to purchase insurance. Being aware of money savings associations will make the search for affordable long-term care possible. Here are a few associations available to Arizona residents that may make their search for long-term care easier and cheaper: 1. Arizona Health Care Association (AHCA). They provide information about nursing homes and assisted living centers. They are touted to be the state’s largest professional long-term care advocates and association. 2. AARP: Offers information about discounts to residents over the age of 50 3. Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS): Arizona’s Medicaid program. These are only a few of the many programs available in Arizona. For more information, contact the Arizona Department of Insurance. Being knowledgeable is key to getting the best rate and discounts when shopping for long-term care.

Where did the window boxes go

I just happen to love window boxes and miss seeing them in the more modern neighborhoods these days. My neighbors who lived across the street from us had just painted their older rather plain, small house a medium gray with white trim. Clean, but boring I thought. With two large windows on each side of the front door, I had visions of painting the front door red and adding 2 red window boxes beneath those windows. Talk about adding some impact! Window boxes can take a plain nondescript house and give it the look of a charming country cottage in no time. Window boxes are also particularly wonderful when you are limited for planting space in a small yard. You can fill them with low growing and trailing flowers, vines or even herbs. You may be hard put to find ready-made window boxes at your local garden store these days, but they are still available online. If you want to make your own window boxes, cedar or redwood would be the wood of choice. If you can't find some kind of a plastic or metal liner to fit, I would further protect the wood by lining the boxes with plain old tarpaper before adding the planting mix. You can then mount them to the window frames with the proper sized brackets. Your neighborhood hardware store can guide you in the right direction. Make sure you drill some holes in he bottom of the window boxes for good drainage and water daily during the summer months. Once every few weeks are so, add some fertilizer for container plants, then sit back and enjoy beautiful blooms from both the outside and inside of the house. Some good flower choices for window boxes would be geraniums, marigolds, trillium, alyssum, and any other low growing flowers that love the sun. For the shady side of the house, try fuchsias or the beautiful non-stop begonias. Some useful herb choices would include chives, rosemary, parsley and thyme. If you like fresh mint, don't plant any other herb in that particular window box as the mint will take over all other plants.

How to survive an evil cult humor

Below are some basic tips for evil cult leaders and members: Pick one faith and stay with it. Dilettantism is the mark of an amateur. Familiarize yourself with the specifications for sacrificial victims, and ensure that unacceptable substitutes cannot be unexpectedly introduced into the ceremony. If the penalty for not-to-specs work is death and/or mutilation, consider working for a more fault-tolerant deity. Avoid needless embarrassment. Practice the correct pronunciation of your deity's name in the privacy of your own room before chanting it in public. Flash cards are often helpful. Before agreeing to impregnation by a supernatural being, investigate the survival rate of the other women who have undergone the procedure. Never invoke anything bigger than your head. Eschew deities whose followers are all young; such faith groups usually employ an unpleasant retirement procedure. Avoid all cabalistic jewelry over ten pounds in weight - it attracts unwelcome attention from tourists, policemen, various supernatural creatures, and can be downright dangerous during thunderstorms. Its jingling also tends to warn the hero of your approach. Citronella candles may not be used in rituals. I cannot stress this enough. Pastel colored candles in the shape of cute animals are like direct sunlight to the Powers of Darkness. Fluorescent lighting is very annoying to most netherworldly creatures. When the Black Mass goes awry, stay away from the Evil Priest. Enraged demons always go for the pompous. When a religious artifact begins emitting light, CLOSE YOUR EYES. Thousands of cult members could be saved every year if they followed this simple safety tip. When mutilating cattle, avoid the ones with testicles. During ritual sacrificing, taking bits home for later is now generally considered "bad form." Contrary to historical belief, drugs and invocations do not mix. When the ritual goes awry, it is vitally necessary to be able to discern between the gibbering monstrosity to pump full of silver bullets and the gibbering monstrosity that will fade away after a few hours, some B complex, and a good hot bath. Piety and belief are powerful things, and few forces in nature, can stand against one who is true to his faith, his god/goddess, and the deal made in exchange for the soul. However, it is also true that gods tend toside with the heaviest artillery, so be prepared to change sides at the drop of a hat. For those situations where a fresh, living, sacrifice is not available, the lower ranks of demons can be fooled by microwaving a previously frozen chunk of ex-victim and cleverly jiggling it. However, a mock victim sculpted from SPAM is unacceptable. Instead of picking human victims who are young, virginal and innocent (and tend to turn out to be the Hero's girlfriend), see if you can substitute mass murderers, lawyers, and other people who won't be missed.

Evaluating home business opportunities

When trying to start a home business, look into fields that interest you. You must enjoy what you are about to embark on because you will be spending a lot of time in this field. Just because you love something doesn’t mean it will sell well. Make sure that what you pick has a market. You want paying customers to come to your site and buy what you have to offer. So where can you go to find out some great business opportunities? Well you can go into your browser and type in different subjects and see what other people are doing with them. You can also look on marketing sites for the hottest trends in business. Remember that these sites are also businesses and will offer you products as well as information. Make sure you know all the tools that are available to you before purchasing the first book or start up kit you see. Most people want to see money and not spend it. Lets face it you will have to do some investing if you really want to succeed. But you don’t have to spend thousands. Books can be a great tool and a very inexpensive way of learning how to run your own business. Not only will these books give you a step by step way to start your business they will give you ideas of what type of businesses you can have. You can get books very cheap on Amazon. You can even use your local library but it would be better to have the books constantly at your disposal. You might even want to consider such markets like eBay. You can sell products there very easily and everyone can readily find you. There are many people making an excellent living just buying and selling on eBay. Here are some quick tips for being a good eBay seller. * Sell a product you know about. You will not be able to answer peoples questions if you have very limited knowledge about what you are trying to sell. This will also get you a bad name and no more bids. The more familiar with what you are selling and its potential uses the better off you are. You are the one trying to get people to buy, know your stuff. * Use eBay as your purchasing guide for what you plan on selling. Look up what people are charging for similar items. Don’t pay more than 65% of what the eBay sales history tells you. You want to buy in bulk and wholesale and know what you are being charged for per item to see if any money will be made off of it. * Ship your paid orders on the same day they buy. Buyers want fast shipping that doesn’t take three weeks to get therepanies like Fed Ex offer online shipping and will give you an immediate 10% discount. They will also increase your discount the more volume you get. There are also tons of little tricks to selling on eBay that make life good. Listing your product Auction on a Thursday for 10 days will close out all bidders on a Sunday. Sundays are great days because more people are home.

A personal guide to travelling in rotorua new zealand

Travel Rotorua This article is a basic tour guide to traveling in Rotorua highlight and evaluating the main sites in the district. Introduction: If you had only one day in the North Island of New Zealand and you asked me where should one go for that day I would without hesitation say Rotorua. This article is my personal guide to Rotorua from someone who has visited it more times than I can remember and if given the chance I would visit it again. This article is non-commercial and is intended to be for general information. Location: Rotorua is approximately 2.5 - 3 hours drive south of Auckland. Head south through Hamilton and Cambridge, or for a quicker route via Mata Mata. Shortly after Cambridge turn left and take the number 5 which will lead you right to Rotoruaing up from Wellington head to Lake Taupo and take the number 5 to Rotorua. Train and Bus routes also service Rotorua. Attractions: Rotorua is a jewel in the North Island, with geothermal wonders, a center of Maori Culture, Parks, Lakes, Natural History and numerous modern day attractions. Most visitors comment on the smell when they arrive. It is Hydrogen Sulphide (rotten egg gas) and while distinct at first, if you stay for any length of time you will adapt and seldom notice it. Geothermal Parks The main geothermal parks in Rotorua and its surrounds include Whakarewarewa thermal area, Waimangu Volcanic Valley, Waitapu Thermal wonderland, Orakei Korako Geyserland and Hell's Gate. All these required payment. Whakarewarewa: Visiting this site used to be standard fare in any visit to Rotorua. Unfortunately the park has now divided into two parts, and I personally don't believe either site has enough to stand alone. So what you used to get for one entry price now costs two (be warned). On the Hemo Road entrance is the NZ Maori Arts and Crafts Institute with its master carvers. Also includes a weaving house, kiwi house, and Maori meeting house. Pohutu (big splash) and the Prince of Wales geyser are also on this side. (Prince of Wales geyser so named because the 3 directions the geyser shoots out resembles the feathers on the Prince of Wales crest). On the Tyron street entrance you get another meeting house where a cultural show is put on, a village, shops and some hot pools, etc. Also here outside school hours you may find the local Maori children willing to jump off the bridge into the stream below in return for chasing your loose change thrown into the same. Waimangu Volcanic Valley: A nice walk along a valley with numerous hot pools, lakes, and near the end of the track the Warbrick thermal terrace - a multi coloured silica terrace, probably the most colourful terrace in Rotorua. Worth a visit if you have already seen some thermal parks and want more, or like a more expansive tour, you can link with a boat tour. (see the gallery for some photos courtesy Waimangu's website). The pink and white terraces once existed in the area prior to the 1886 eruption. Waiotapu Thermal Wonderland: My personal favourite, about 20 min. south of Rotorua towards Taupo. Be prepared to walk abit. Numerous rainbow pools, the huge champagne pool, artist palette, sulphur vents, boiling mud and a huge silica terrace. If you arrive early in the morning, before 10am, a short drive leads you to the Lady Knox geyser that gets set off once a day by them feeding it with soap, cost of this is included in your admission (was $25 an adult). Also on this road is a natural mud pool which is the best display of boiling mud I have seen and its free. Orakei Korako Geyserland: Closer to Lake Taupo than Rotorua on a side road connecting route 5 to the main route 1. You need to catch the ferry across the lake to begin exploring the park. Like most of the parks good tracks requiring you to walk to see mud pools, a large cave, the emerald terrace and the largest silica feature in the country. Worth the visit if you are passing that way. Hell's Gate: Another thermal park with numerous boiling things, including Adam's frying pan, a mud volcano, hot water falls and one of the few places I found I could buy the multi-colour sand in a glass container (quite pretty). Once visited by Mark Twain who stated he would have gladly paid not to have gone there. I'll have to disagree; I think it’s worth the visit. Maori Culture Rotorua has plenty of Maori based attractions. These include Tamaki Maori Village (I've yet to visit). The NZ Maori Arts and Crafts Institute (already spoken about), the Buried Village and numerous Hungi and Cultural Performances. The Buried village is what it sounds like, a half buried village. During the 1886 eruption a number of local Maori perished buried in mud. Some of the village has since been dig out and rebuilt to give tourists an idea of a Maori village. I haven't been to Tamaki Maori Village so can't give a review. If you really want to get a good taste of Maori culture food and hospitality then book one of the many feasts and concerts put on by the local hotels. The food, music and friendship are always top rate. Other Attractions Rainbow Springs Park: A nice park with trout fish as its centerpiece, beautiful clear running water and a top bushland. Lovely walking tracks and you can feed the fish. Also has a farm show attached. Skyline Skyrides: The main reason to take this ride on a gondola is not just to get to the top for the view, the main reason is to ride the luge. Massive fun, as long as you don't fall off. They have a small chairlift operating so that you can ride the luge for as long as your budget can afford. Agrodome: Everything you wanted to know about sheep. Surprising a show about sheep and farming in NZ is interesting and entertaining. Rotorua Museum of Art: One of the first buildings built in NZ solely with tourists in mind. Originally built as a bath house and hot water treatment center it has now been converted. Good museum but the highlight is the movie on local history, sit down and be sure to be holding on - a total multimedia experience. Definite must do. The building itself is one of the finest examples of Edwardian design and is an art piece in itself. The surrounding gardens are always nicely maintained. Natures Wonders There are numerous things to do, totally free for nature lovers. Huka Falls: Just North from Lake Taupo on the M1 is Huka Falls and the world famous Huka Falls Lodge (for the novu-rich of the world). Huka Falls itself is free for all. Near the beginning of the mighty Waikato river (NZ longest river) it’s not the height of the falls but the sheer volume of water that is forced through which is impressive, few people have gone over the falls and survived. Boat trips are now run up to the base of the falls for those wanting a different perspective. Whakarewarewa Forrest Park: On the road to the blue and green lakes. Contains beautiful stands of redwood trees, walking and horse riding tracks. The redwood trees are relatively young for trees, but they are already huge in size. Government Gardens: Outside the Rotorua museum is well kept flower beds, rose gardens, bowling greens and more. Kuirau Park: Opposite the main hospital on Kuirau road is Kuirau Park with numerous boiling pools and geothermal activities. Contains some foot pools to ease your sore feet and a children’s park with miniature railway. On my last visit there was a huge hole in the ground and several trees blown over or covered in mud due to a localized eruption. It is a reminder the whole area is geothermally active and has the potential to be dangerous. Blue and Green Lakes: Past Whakarewarewa Forrest Park is the blue lake, great for swimming or boating activities, clear water with a pumice bottom, those further out there is a problem with weeds. Keep going on the road to get a view of Mt. Tarawera. The green lake is banned and tapu (Maori for cursed, sacred, special) and no is supposed to enter it. Mt. Tarawera: For the true adventure fanatics. Take the back road and climb Mount Tarawera. Enter the crater and run down to the bottom at full speed. The massive crater was caused by the 10 June 1886 eruption which destroyed the pink and white terraces and buried many villages. Lakes: The number of lakes is simply too many to mention. Great for trout fishing, boating or picnics. Some lakes even have black volcanic glass and/or pumice stone lying on their shores. Hamurana Springs: If you want to see a beautiful spring feed stream, this is worth a visit, pure water with a hint of blue flowing over white pumice bed. There is also a nice stand of redwoods and I would be surprised if you didn’t' see any trout in the stream (no fishing allowed, sorry). This list is by no means exhaustive and like any tourist destination new venues are always opening up. I hope this provides you with a basic to do list when visiting. Basics of federal bond issues

Most people associate the term ‘investments’ with stocks and mutual funds, but Federal bond issues also constitute a major chunk of the overall investments market. The annual turnover of US Federal Bond issues is many times more than that generated by the collective stock markets. Although considered the safest investment options in the US, Federal Bonds are not free from obscurity. The following information will help you understand the basics of these bonds. How and why they are issued? The main organization that coordinates Federal bond issues is the Central Bank, which first conducts a market survey to assess the current investment needs of investors. This survey involves consultations with various entities like investment dealers, banks, and other financial organizations that are experienced in handling Federal bond issues. Before introducing the bonds in the market, the Federal government needs to determine their exact purpose, which may be for constructing a new road or bridge, refunding government debt or for funding some other project that is designed to serve national taxpayers or some other federal constituents. In addition, the Federal government has also to determine the legal parameters required by the federal legislation beforehand. Marketing the bonds For marketing the bonds, the government can select either a single underwriter or a group of them, based on the size of the bond issue. The government is required to supply copies of a disclosure document that provides bond related information to potential underwriters, to enable them to bid for the issue. For this purpose, the government hires the services of a professional bond counsel firm that looks into the legal aspects of the issue, in consultations with the official government solicitor. Both the counsel firm and the solicitor work together to check the applicability of the bond issues, in relation with federal and state law, and tax approvals. This is done to ensure that proper legal procedures are being followed. The marketing phase of Federal Bond issues usually lasts a week, during which potential underwriters review and evaluate the terms and conditions of the bond issue. This helps them in quoting an appropriate bid amount. This process is eliminated, when the government appoints a single underwriter, based on past relationships with the person. If multiple underwriters are to be appointed, the government allows all interested parties to submit their purchase bids, which includes general terms and conditions, the term of the bond issue, the actual amount of the bonds, interest rates, amortization schedule, and details about prepayment provisions. Completing documentation requirements In the final phase of the process of issuing Federal bonds, the appointed underwriter wires the purchase price to the paying agent, who in turn transfers back the cost of issuance according to the terms and conditions. The paying agent is also entrusted with the task of allocating funds to the appropriate parties or projects, depending on the original purpose determined in the initial phases of the Federal bond issue. The counsel firm then prepares the closing documents, a copy of which is sent to all the participants of the issue. The closing documents are highly technical in nature and you will have to be a law professional to understand the kind of information given in them. These documents are used as a proof that the terms and conditions of the purchase proposal have been fully approved. The basic information provided above will help you to familiarize yourself with the practical details of Federal Bond issues. By investing a part of your savings in Federal Bond issues, you can hedge against risks that are quite common in other types of investments, such as stocks and derivatives.

Why so many states are legalizing gambling

There are currently 13 states that have legalized gambling and they have over 450 casinos between those states, and they bring in 72 billion dollars a year. From this money states get extra money for road repair, schools and many other things that a state needs money to fix and maintain. In the last 10 years there have also been a large number of Indian casinos being granted licenses in states that do not have legalized gambling, which means the only place t gamble in those states is in the Indian Casino, and they do not pay taxes on that money. Many states are waking up and realizing that there is a very profitable business out there that they are not getting any revenue from, and not only does it bring money into the state it also creates thousands of jobs for each casino that opens. So for a state with a high unemployment rate this means more people are working and less of the stats money needs to be spent on these people, again a win for the state and the people. It also means more money for the state to feed kids a hot meal at lunch and the money to put new books in the classrooms and maybe to build more schools. This money is also used in some states to hire more police officers. Legalized gambling besides bringing in more money to the government in taxes also brings money into the community gamblers will use services such as hotels, restaurants and other local attractions while they are in the area. This can bring a major boost to a small starving economy separate from that of the casino. Another reason why many states are pushing to make gambling legal is to attempt to wipe out the illegal gambling business. Many people feel that if gambling is legalized there is no reason for people to go to sleazy and dangerous back room casinos. These type of places are becoming harder and harder for the police to find and as soon as they do find them, they will either pack up and change locations or another will just take their place. Another bad thing about illegal casinos s that there is no one monitoring to make sure the casino is not cheating their players. In many cases police have raided illegal casinos and found that all the table and card games are rigged for the casino to win, and if this is ever discovered the casinos operators have in the past committed murder to keep their secrets, and most people fear for their lives and refuse to cooperate with the police. Legalized gambling is monitored to make sure both the player and the house are playing an honest game. Do not let all of this make you think that gambling has no downside. A lot of this money has to go to treatment for people, who develop gambling addictions, and most cities with a casino do usually see a rise in crime in those areas, so more police officers are not just a luxury it is a necessity.

Very cheap car insurance it exists but you have to know what to ask for

When someone tells you that they have very cheap car insurance then you need to be cautious. What kind of insurance profile does that individual have that would give them the benefit of very cheap car insurance? People will often complain about their car insurance rates to a friend or neighbor and too often that neighbor or friend will claim that their insurance is much cheaper. That may be true for a number of reasons. We don’t all drive the same cars. We don’t have the same driving records. We have different ages of drivers. There are a whole lot of variables in the criteria that make up the car insurance rate. Rating Criteria Credit Reports – Most of the insurance companies use credit as part of the equation when setting rates. Some people do not understand the relationship. Actuaries have come up with the statistics that prove credit to be a significant rating factor. There is a stability factor and relationship to accident frequency that coincides with the credit history. Vehicle Types – This can be kind of tricky. Some newer vehicles actually have better rates than the older vehicles because of all the safety features. Some vehicles have high theft rates. Make sure that you get the vehicle identification number of any new vehicle purchase and give it to your insurance company to obtain your new rate. Rating Territory – You are stuck with this one unless you move to another geographical area. Driver Info – The driving records and ages of your drivers will play a significant part in your rate. Discounts – There are several ways to discount your car insurance. Purchase the home policy with the auto policy to get a multi-policy discount. Good student and drivers training discounts are available to young drivers with some companies. Retirement discounts and discounts for taking a mature driving course are available for senior citizens. The cheaper rate is really up to you. Do your home work and ask your insurance company a lot of questions.

Secrets of success with autoresponders

Secrets Of Success With Autoresponders The world of affiliate marketing can be very challenging, although very rewarding as well. All across the Internet, there are hundreds of thousands of affiliate marketers making lots of money selling other people’s products. Some marketers make a lot of sales overnight, leaving other marketers to wonder just how they done it. Affiliate marketing is indeed a good way to make extra money, or a lot of money if you are proficient at it. If you are just starting out, you may not think there is any potential. Those that have a lot of experience however, have thousands of customers and clients. Once an affiliate marketer has been in the business long enough, it’s not surprising to see him or her with 10 – 20,000 customers. Almost all successful affiliate marketers have used an autoresponder at some point in time. An autoresponder can make business a lot easier, and enable you to contact all of your customers or potential customers with the click of a button. You don’t spend hours or days sending out emails or answering questions anymore – autoresponders take care of all that and a lot more. Anytime you have a new product, all you have to do is write a review about it, add it to the broadcast page of your autoresponder, make a few adjustments, personalize it for your customers, then send it off to everyone on your customer list with the click of a button. If you have a follow up autoresponder, it will keep your message going. Keep in mind that it will take you a long time to build a large customer base. Using an autoresponder can speed up the process, help you save time, and help you manage your list. Once you get your first customer, you can rest assured that a lot more will follow. As we all know, a lot of customers in your customer list will lead to a lot of money with affiliate marketing. If you don’t have any customers – you simply can’t make any money. All across the Internet, there are many companies and businesses that offer affiliate marketing programs. All you have to do is contact the company and find out information about their program, then get started selling their products. You can make a commission with each sale, using your autoresponder to do over 50% of the work. Making money doesn’t get any easier than affiliate marketing and autoresponders. If you already have a website and companies that you are an affiliate with, you should start building your customer opt in list as soon as possible. Once you have some customers in your list, you should drop them an email or a message every week or so. You can send them information, tips, or just a general newsletter. If you take the time to send them messages – you’ll keep a good relationship with them and they will keep coming back. (word count 484)

What an atv winch can do for you

Imagine yourself hauling up a rough trail on your ATV. Things are going great! You are dirty and exhilarated. It could not get any better. Then all of a sudden, you get stuck! Luckily, one of your fellow adventurers has an ATV winch and gets ready to pull you out. Soon, you are out of the mess and back on the trail. As you can see from that brief example, an ATV winch can save the day. But getting a good winch is not as simple as running out to get one. There are some specific things that you should look for when you are considering what winch to get. Also, there are some basic safety techniques you should use once you need to use that winch. Consider the size and weight of your ATV when considering which winch to buy. You will want to load your ATV with everything you would typically have out on the trail to get an accurate weight. This weight is going to help determine which ATV winch is right for your vehicle. Also consider your price range, the pound capacity, the length of the cable, and the cable diameter. How you plan to use your ATV will help you determine what poundage or cable diameter you need. Are you planning on keeping you ATV on relatively flat ground or are you planning on doing some off roading? If you are going to use your ATV on primarily flat ground, then you won’t need as powerful a winch as you would need to pull you out of the mud and rocks on a trail. Once you need to use the ATV winch, keep some basic safety in mind. Be cautious handling the metal cable. Small slivers can easily cut your hands. It is a good idea to carry leather work gloves with you in the event that you will need to use the winch. Also keep any baggy clothing away from the winch mechanism to prevent major injuries. Never use the winch as a hoist. It is not designed to operate as a hoist, and you risk injuring yourself or damaging your ATV. When the cable has been tightened, or is being used, never step over the cable. Actually, you should keep clear of the cable all together in case it snaps. One last thing, make sure that your winch is not going to drain your battery. Your day will still be ruined if you get out of the mud only to find out that your ATV will not start. You can use a stronger battery in your ATV, use a double-battery winch system, or give the ATV a little gas while you are using the winch. When you are using the ATV winch, keep as straight a line as possible and make sure the pulling ATV has its brakes on and wheels blocked. Remember that using the winch is all about physics. Be sure to find an anchor point that is going to hold. Before you know it you will be back out there having the time of your life. You will also be thankful that you had your ATV winch to save the day!

Charisma love and health

This is an amazing story. It's about my friend Robert. Robert is one of those really charismatic people. You know the kind I mean. Wherever he goes, people are just drawn to him, its truly a sight to behold. At dinner the other night, Robert's charm drew the waiters in and they conversed with him a great deal. However, when I spoke up, the waiters didn't seem to pay much attention. They may have even been a little dismissive. It was as if the only person at the table was Robert. The difference was Robert's charisma. He has that special way about him that we all sometimes wished we had. Anyway, in order to find out what that special something was, I decided to interview Robert. I captured about 2 hours worth of questions and answers with him. Here is what I found out. Robert basically, though he might not say this directly, 'loves' people when he talks to them. He has genuine concern and positive regard. He likes to focus in on one thing that he finds especially interesting about a person when he talks to them. It doesn't matter if he tells the person what that thing is or not, it seems to have the same effect. Try it and see what happens. Now, how does that relate to health? Well you see, my article on the mind-body connection discusses the principle that Bernie Siegel wrote about in his book, Love, Medicine and Miracles. It seems that when his cancer patients revolutionized their thinking to become more loving and accepting of others, their cancer often went into remission. You see, what Robert does with people, is love them when he talks to them. Keep in mind that love is an action, it is not an idea that sits there, it is active. Bernie's cancer patients loved those around them more and as a result their health improved. Now do you see the connection between charisma, love and health? By loving others, not only can your health improve, but your social life improves as well. So what are you waiting for? Start looking for ways to love others more and watch your life improve in every aspect. This could be the most important thing you'll read today. Why not share it with a friend? This article is for information purposes only. If you have or think you have a health problem, visit your doctor for diagnoses and treatment.

Batteries from laptops to motorcycles

What would you do without them? Seriously, if every single battery of every single type were suddenly zapped out of every single thing that it operated, what would any of us do? Laptop computers, without a doubt, are the lifeblood of many a businessperson today. Portable, convenient, they allow us to work on the run and do more business. Laptop batteries are essential to keep this resource working, as it should. The precursor to the laptop as we know it today was introduced by IBM back in 1986 and was called “The PC Convertible”. It weighed five and a half kilograms and cost around $3500.00. As laptop computers have evolved, so too have laptop batteries. • The first type of battery used in laptops was Nickel - Cadmium (NiCad). These can still be found in some older laptops. Their lifespan between recharges is about two hours, however, this decreases with each recharge. Also, if a NiCad laptop battery is charged for too long it may explode. • The next type of laptop battery used was Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH). These laptop batteries last longer than NiCad batteries but their total lifespan is shorter. • The current standard laptop battery is the Li-ion battery. As well as being light and having a long life span they can also be randomly charged and won’t overheat if charged for too long. Being thinner, the Li-ion battery is ideal as a notebook battery and can last for between 950 and 1200 recharges. Perhaps even more crucial to our business life as well as our personal life is the cell phone. There are also three different types of cell phone batteries: • Lithium-ion Batteries: these are the newest type of cell phone battery and, while having certain advantages over the older NIMH and NICD batteries, care must still be taken to ensure they perform at their best. For example, a new lithium-ion battery should be “conditioned”. What this basically means is that for the battery’s first three charge cycles, fully charge the battery overnight and allow it to fully discharge before charging it again. This will increase the life and effectiveness of the cell phone battery. • NIMH Batteries: These batteries also should be conditioned in the same way as a Lithium-ion battery. It is important to remember that extensive overcharging (i. e.: on a battery charger for more than twenty-four hours) can damage these cell phone batteries. • NICD Batteries: These are the oldest type of cell phone battery and, as is the case with the laptop computer, are less reliable than the newer types. Okay, so we know we’d be sunk without our laptops and cell phones. But what about the car? Cars have batteries too. Perhaps you ride a Harley Davidson - not without a motorcycle battery! It’s interesting to think where we’d be if the afore-mentioned “zapping episode” took place. We know that our forefathers coped without batteries but could we? Here’s a challenge: For one whole day leave everything containing a battery alone. No driving or riding, no cell phone or computer, completely “battery-bereft”. At the end of the day you’ll either feel tranquil and centred, at total peace with your surroundings or a nervous wreck, climbing the walls. Which will you be?

A crash course on understanding financial statements

Financial statements (or financial reports) are a record of a business’ financial flows and levels. The big four statements are: 1.Balance sheet which describes a company's assets and liabilities. 2.Income statement which describes a company's income and expenses. 3.Statement of Cash Flows which describes how corporate operating, investment, and financing activities have affected the company's cash position. 4.Statement of Retained Earnings which describes changes to shareholders equity (for example a payment of dividend). Because these statements are often complex an extensive set of Notes to the Financial Statements and management discussion and analysis is usually included. The notes will typically describe each item on the Balance Sheet and Income statement in further detail. In many cases the notes are much longer than the financial statement they are elucidating. If a company has extraordinary items that affect the balance sheet or the shareholders equity position it will usually include a Other Comprehensive Income Statement, which describes the adjustments to made. Examples of Other Comprehensive Income include revaluation of corporate assets away from their stated cost, as well as accruals for liabilities. Income Statement: An income statement, otherwise known as a profit and loss statement, is a summary of a company’s profit or loss during any one given period of time, such as a month, three months, or one year. The income statement records all revenues for a business during this given period, as well as the operating expenses for the business. It is very important to format an income statement so that it is appropriate to the business being conducted. Income statements, along with balance sheets, are the most basic elements required by potential lenders, such as banks, investors, and vendors. They will use the financial reporting contained therein to determine credit limits. Statement of Changes in Financial Position: A statement of changes in financial position (also referred to as the Cash flow Statement) reports the amount of cash coming in (cash receipts) and the amount of cash going out (cash payments or disbursements) during a specified period. Business activities result in either a net cash inflow (receipts greater than payments) or a net cash outflow (payments greater than receipts) during a period. The cash flow statement shows the net increase or decrease in cash during the period and the cash balance at the end of the period. It explains the causes for the changes in the cash balance. The cash flow statement covers a span of time. Balance Sheet: A balance sheet, in formal bookkeeping and accounting, is a statement of the book value of a business or other organization or person at a particular date, often at the end of its "fiscal year," as distinct from an income statement, also known as a profit and loss account (P&L), which records revenue and expenses over a specified period of time. Assets: Any item of economic value owned by an individual or corporation, especially that which could be converted to cash. Examples are cash, securities, accounts receivable, inventory, office equipment, real estate, a car, and other property. On a balance sheet, assets are equal to the sum of liabilities, common stock, preferred stock, and retained earnings. From an accounting perspective, assets are divided into the following categories: current assets (cash and other liquid items), long-term assets (real estate, plant, equipment), prepaid and deferred assets (expenditures for future costs such as insurance, rent, interest), and intangible assets (trademarks, patents, copyrights, goodwill). Liabilities: A liability is a present obligation of the enterprise arising from past events, the settlement of which is expected to result in an outflow from the enterprise of resources embodying economic benefits. Owner's Equity: Total assets minus total liabilities of an individual or company. For a company, also called net worth or shareholders' equity or net assets.
